Therapeutic communication: Therapeutic communication is simply talking to a client (or others) in a way that leaves the door open for them to feel safe and secure in talking to you. It is non-judgmental, non-assuming, and accepting. Learning to use therapeutic communication with patients is as important as learning to dress them. It is a basic skill of any healthcare worker.
